TCD student, Eimear Ellis, yesterday emerged triumphant after coming third in the Final of the gradireland National Student Challenge in UCD Quinn Business School.
The competition takes part in two stages. First, entrants undergo a 40 minute online exam during which their mental abilities are tested with the 60 highest competitors being selected for yesterday’s final.
Over the course of final Ellis, along with fellow competitors, was subjected to six physical and mental challenges set by the competitions ‘employment partners’ including Lidl, PWC, Ernst & Young and EMC2.
Ellis narrowly missed out on first place which would have netted her a cool €1,000 but, in coming third, still took home the handsome sum of €200. On the day the first prize went to Queen’s University Belfast’s David Galbraith with second place going to UCD’s Ian Woods.
