Conservation and construction works are set to begin in the Rubrics building next week.
The building will have limited access and parking to the west of the site will be unavailable from Monday August 23.
Located in Library Square, the Rubrics is the oldest building on campus having been built some time in the year 1700. Today, the building is used to house students and Fellows.
Estates and Facilities have apologised for any inconvenience caused by the construction. They have not provided an estimated end date for the works.
Yesterday, students and staff were informed that the Arts Building is accessible once again following essential electrical upgrades. The electrical upgrades were deemed essential after a power outage in the building on August 13
Recently, there have also been ongoing works on campus at Printing House Square. From 8am on August 6 until 10pm August 7 these upgrades resulted in several vehicular and pedestrian routes into College being inaccessible.
During this time, Pearse Lane, New Square north, and Library Square to New Square between Houses 26 and 27 were closed while a tower crane was removed from the Printing House Square construction site.
