A walk-in vaccination centre is due to operate on campus this week, from Tuesday February 8 to Friday February 11.
The centre, operated by College Health Service, will offer first, second and booster doses of the Covid-19 vaccines to all students and staff. It will run from 10am to 4pm each day in the Exam Hall in Front Square.
College is encouraging all eligible students and staff to avail of booster vaccines. Those who have contracted Covid recently must wait until three months after their positive test to take the booster shot.
Students and staff wishing to avail of the walk-in centre are asked to bring their digital Covid certificate or other proof of previous vaccination and their PPS number.
Many EU countries still require a valid Covid certificate to access public spaces including France, Germany and Italy. Last month, the Irish government discontinued the requirement for such certificates in restaurants, but they or a negative Covid test are still required to enter the country.
In September and October 2021, a number of pop-up vaccination centres operated on college campuses around the country, A total of 5,879 vaccinations were administered from clinics at third level colleges during this period.
Between October 18 and 22, temporary vaccination clinics operated in 12 higher education institutions across Ireland, including Trinity. The centres operated on a walk-in basis for students and staff.
Before this, a centre operated on Trinity’s main campus on Monday September 27 and Wednesday 29.
This walk-in clinic at Trinity was also open to students from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), National College of Art and Design (NCAD), Royal Irish Academy of Music, Marino Institute of Education, and Griffith College.
